Our chimney

Today we had a really jolly man come to visit with a really massive brush. I've never seen such a funny looking toothbrush.... and then he put it up the chimney!! I hope he washes it before using it to clean his teeth. Mummy said he had come to sweep the chimney but you know that blue boiler suit didn't fool me ... HE WAS SIZING IT UP FOR DECEMBER.

I KNOW it was him. White hair, big tummy, twinkly  eyes and really jolly.... Can't fool me just shaving his beard off. Maybe he just cleans chimneys all year ready for Christmas Eve and then does his proper job that night. I suppose he has got to do something for the rest of the year, and yes... it is job related. And he has all the elves making the toys to free him up so it all makes sense now.

 If he makes them all clean all year then he won't get that nice red suit all dirty.

Bonfire Night

Don't like the bangs much! Mummy and Daddy didn't buy fireworks because I don't like them so they bought me 4 more fishes instead.
Mummy got some more pictures of her cakes that she hasn't put up yet.
Snuggling down on the sofa with Daddy. Feeling a bit under the weather today. I know Mummy is worried about me. I'm in my nineties - I'm going to get days like that!  Feel like talking a bit more tomorrow maybe.

I'M GOING TO BE OKAY!!!!

OK my . tumour is benign. It is a rare one apparently - mummy says so am I. It's called an infiltrating lympho something. It is taking over my muscle and replacing it and they can't remove it. It will just keep growing but they have some special tablets for me. They want to see me every 2 months to check it doesn't turn into a spreading naughty one. My mummy is so happy and so am I!!!!

Thank you to everyone all around the world who has been praying with my mummy and to all Buddy Valastro's followers who popped on here. Cake Boss's cakes rule!!!.. after Mummy's of course!!!

It was Uncle Warren's birthday on Thursday - he was 50. he just ran the Venice marathon. 26 miles and 385 yards in 3hrs 26mins 15sec. That's brilliant!

My holiday

Just got back from holiday. I went to stay with my Nanny and Grandad in South Wales for a week. I spent my time with them and my twin brother Jazz. It was brilliant. My mummy and daddy went on to Cornwall for a few days. They had a lovely time and have loads of pictures.

Mummy is SO PROUD of the rugby team. Wales forever!!!!

14 Welsh men against 16 French men - one of them the referee.
How can someone who is half French referee a game with France and not be one sided? I'm surprised he didn't send all the Welsh team off just to make it really easy for the French. He was probably a bit sore about Wales having just knocked Ireland out of the world cup seeing as he was half Irish too....

My Mummy says she has found the perfect Cornish pasty, and trust me, she has sampled them from ALL OVER Cornwall....and she found the best ever fish and chips. She'll put up all the details but she needs to check with the places first to see if it's ok with the pasty place and the chippie to mention them here.

Mummy's Microwave Syrup Pudding Recipe - treacle pudd

Here it is ... it is worth the wait.

FREE RECIPE TIME with me.
No sieving, no fancy mix this one way, add a bit at a time... just chuck it all in a bowl together and mix it up!

Lots of variations too.... like chocolate sponge pudding with a gooey choccy middle or lemon sponge with a lemon curd runny middle...

Raw ingredients to tummy in 10 minutes.... YUMMY!!!

For pudding
4 oz soft margarine
4 oz sugar
4 oz self raising flour
1/2 (half) teaspoon baking powder
2 eggs
2 tablespoons water

For yummy
golden syrup

Grease a basin/bowl
Put a few spoons of golden syrup in it. Pour in the mixed ingredients for pudding
Cover with cling film and pierce
Cook on high for 6 minutes
Stand for 3 mins
Empty onto plate upside down so the treacle you put in first is now on the top!!

EAT
My mummy likes to make a treacle sauce with a bit of boiling water added to a spoon of syrup and poured over sponge. The sponge soaks it up and yummmmmmmm.

If you do the variations...
To make the sponge choclatey swap a tablespoon of flour for one of cocoa or drinking choccy. However many spoons you add you must take away the flour. Swap one spoon dry ingredient for another. Then put half the mix in the bowl, put in a few truffles or Lindor or just some pieces of choccy, then the rest of the mix and follow rest of cooking instructions

For the lemony one try adding some zest to the mixture and using a massive spoon of lemon curd in the middle.

Let me know if you find any other variations..... PLEASE!!!!

Mummy tried it with homemade jam once but it didn't rise properly. Still tasted yummy though so it's all a bit trial and error. The recipes I have shared all work though.

REMEMBER - you can have these pudds in your tummy in only 10 minutes!!!

mummy's scary cake

My mummy made this cake. 5 layers of red sponge carved into a skull and a snake from rice krispies covered in fondant. SPOOKY. It's a skull snake and ivy cake.

Wales are through!!!!

Mummy seems rather happy today. She has stopped shouting at the telly and screaming and made a huge trifle and a tray of flapjacks instead.

Well done Wales. Win the next one and I might get some nice pies.

my nanny and grandad's 50th wedding anniversary. Some people called William and Kate got married that day but the whole country waved flags and took the day off and had a huge party for my nanny and grandad because they are so special and very very important people xxx

My Mummy's cakes

My Mummy loves baking. She is doing loads of little fruit cakes at the moment. She is feeding them. I always thought they were supposed to feed us but never mind... such a complicated lot those humans.

I know I have promised to do a site for her for a long time now so Nanny and Grandad who have asked to see pictures of her cakes can see them, but it is really difficult to get my little paws round the camera and just don't get me started on the keyboard.....

Anyway, here are some of them.

Some of them are rich fruit cake and some are sponge.

ONE DAY I will get a cake. I know this because I have seen a pet's cook book on her shelf... she thinks I don't know, but I am really looking forward to Christmas this year!!!

Her favourite recipe for sponge is

• 4oz self raising flour
• 4oz sugar
• 4oz butter
• 2 eggs
• 1 tsp baking powder
• few drops of vanilla essence or whatever flavour she is using

cook at 170 degrees C for about 25 to 30 mins
This quantity makes about 15 little fairy cakes too.

She calls this her basic batch and literally doubles or trebles etc EVERYTHING according to the size of the cake she is doing.

The best ever recipe in the while wide world is for microwave treacle pudding.
